1957 Chevrolet Model 150, 2 Door Sedan Delivery
This 1957 Chevrolet Model 150 has been beautifully and tastefully restored with less than 500 miles since restoration. This 57′ has had a recent frame-off restoration and is powered by a rebuilt 454 that has been bored .040 and is fitted with aluminum heads, MSD electronic ignition, Bills hot rod belt brackets, an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, and is cooled by a Griffin radiator. The exhaust exits through dual 3-inch pipes and Flowmaster mufflers. The big block is mated to a completely rebuilt turbo 400 transmission with a Hurst speed shifter, and the power is put to the ground through a rebuilt Ford 9-inch rear end with a 3.08 ratio.
The car is fitted with Jim Meyers independent suspension with Big Block Springs, QA1 coil-over shocks, rack and pinion steering, anti-sway bar, and Wilwood disc brakes. A new gas tank and sending unit were installed during the restoration.
The Ivory interior features front bucket seats from a 1967 Chevelle with a beautiful Mahogany wood floor in the back, new classic gauges, Gen 1 Vintage air conditioning, a custom-made wood console w/ cup holders, power windows, new door and window handles, a raingear electric windshield wiper system, an updated stereo system with Focal speakers, a subwoofer, an Alpine amp and multi-CD deck, an Ididit steering column, and a custom Colorado steering wheel. All weatherstripping and grommets were replaced and the interior was soundproofed for a quiet ride. A full-size spare tire is stored under the Mahogany floor in the rear of the vehicle.
The exterior boasts a bright purple paint with new stainless moldings. The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and have new bumper guards installed. The hood has been professionally bull-nosed and the stock hood is included. Other features of the exterior include a new hood and grill bar, shaved tailgate, 15″ American Racing salt flat special gray wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. Front tires are 215/60/15 and the rears are 255/60/15. This 150 has a professional appraisal that is graded at 1.15, which is considered excellent.
